Lionel Messi will not play in the last game of the season.

The Argentine star did not train with the team today with the permission of coach Ronald Koeman.

Well-known journalist Marcelo Bechler reports that Messi will not play against Eibar on Saturday.

Messi has played 35 of 37 La Liga games this season scoring 30 goals and donating 11 assists in the process.

In the six games played in the Champions League, Messi has five goals and two assists, while in the Copa Del Rey in five games he has scored three goals and made one assist.

The only competitor who did not score Messi is the Spanish Super Cup, where he was punished with a red card.

In all competitions he has made 47 appearances, scoring 38 goals and making 14 assists.

In total Messi was penalized six times with a yellow card during this season. Four times in La Liga and twice in the Copa del Rey.
