Milan and Leicester City in ‘war’ for Domenico Berardi

Milan and Leicester City are reportedly keeping records of Domenico Berardi, but many other Serie A and Premier League clubs are interested in Italy’s attacking winger.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the 26-year-old, who has two assists in four appearances at UEFA Euro 2020, has attracted interest from the Rossoneri and Foxes.

Although there are still no official offers on the table, both clubs are said to have started preliminary talks with Sassuolo.

Berardi’s contract at Mapei Stadium expires in June 2024 and a transfer of his would not be cheap.

The Italian international is a product of the club’s academy and made his debut for the first team in a Coppa Italia draw against Avellino in 2012.

He has 105 goals in 291 appearances for Neroverdi.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported last week that both Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in the Italian and Il Corriere dello Sport confirms that more Serie A and Premier League clubs have turned a blind eye to the 26-year-old.
