Milan can fight for the title in Serie A this season, says the former coach of Italy

Former Milan star Roberto Donadoni believes the Reds can aim to win the Serie A title and has said that players will grow with the challenges they will face in the Champions League this season.

Former Italy coach Donadoni spoke in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport about the current situation at the Milan club.

Milan finished in second place last season in Serie A and Donadoni believes that Stefano Pioli’s boys can fight for the title now thanks to the continuity of management at Milanello.

“Of course Milan can aim for the title. “I see a group of very strong teams that are equal,” said Donnadoni.

“I do not think that one of Milan, Juventus, Inter, Lazio, Napoli and Roma can leave the group alone and I do not think that one of them is technically stronger,” he added.

Milan are back in the Champions League and will have a difficult task in a group with Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Porto.

“The group is difficult, but the players and teams grow with such challenges,” he added.
