Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric was awarded the prize for his outstanding career.
Luka Modric was awarded the Marca Leyenda Award (Legend of Marca) in recognition of his outstanding career, which has made him a key figure at Real Madrid during the club’s most successful periods.
The Croatian was presented with the award at a ceremony held at the Casino de Madrid.
Since joining the club in 2012, Modric has won 19 trophies. His spectacular list of trophies as Madrid includes 4 Champions Leagues, 4 Club World Cups, 3 UEFA Super Cups, 3 La Liga titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
He also won the Golden Ball in 2018.
During the event, Modri? spoke proudly of his time as a Real Madrid player.
“I am grateful for the love that the fans give me and they show it every day. I try to give everything whenever I wear the jersey to return this love. Real Madrid is my home and I feel extremely happy. I am another madridista and this will last for the rest of my life. Thank you so much for this award; “when you consider all the winners, it is an honor to be among these athletes,” said Modric.
