Mourinho: It is impossible for my Roma not to win

Roma coach Jose Mourinho has said it was impossible for his team not to beat Salernitana, despite encountering difficulties at first.

Roma did not manage to score in the first half, but once they broke the ice, they could not stop winning 4: 0.

Lorenzo Pellegrini scored two goals, while Jordan Veretout and Tammy Abraham one each.

“It was impossible not to win this match.” Mourinho told DANZ.

“The team played very well. We dominated the game. Some may argue that we did not create many chances in the first half, but we did not even allow the opponent to create any,” he underlined.

Mourinho has won all four of his competitive matches with Roma so far, in Serie A and in the Europa Conference League.

“I am happy to be back in Italy, in a club that has real fans, with people who feel the passion we know. I also needed to experience those feelings again,” he added.
