Muller apologizes: “It hurts me so much that I did not take that opportunity”

Thomas Muller apologizes on social media after the mistake he made in the match with England.

The German footballer had the golden chance to score the 1-1 goal, which could have changed the course of the match, but he made an incredible mistake and immediately after that came the English doubling for the final result 2-0, which eliminated Germany from the European.

An episode to which Muller reacts the next day, in the cold, as he writes on his Instagram profile.

“Here it is, the moment I will remember until the end, that made me not sleep tonight. A moment for which you work, train and live as a footballer. That moment, when you have the task to lead your team to a draw in a match with direct elimination and you have the opportunity to lead an entire nation into ecstasy. Having this opportunity and letting it save you is something that hurts me to death. It hurts me for the whole German team, for my teammates and my coach, who gave me the security to be in that moment. But, above all, it hurts me for all the German fans, who stood by us and supported us during this European. Thank you for your support!”.
