Nagelsmann: Lewa focused on Bayern, against Koln a difficult challenge

Bayern Munich archived the first trophy of the season, after triumphing with the result 3-1 against Borussia Dortmund in the German Super Cup, while now the next objective is to find the victory in the championship, as on Sunday they will host Koln at the “Allianz Arena” .

Coach Julian Nagelsmann appeared at the usual press conference, where he announced that in this meeting he will have to do without Manuel Neuer and Kingsley Coman, as he called on his team to give their best for Sunday’s match.

“It will not be easy for Koln at all, as they are in very good shape and to win, we have to repeat what we did against Borussia in the Super Cup. “Manuel Neuer and Coman will not be ready for this match, however I am convinced that Ulrich and Sane will do their job quite well on the field”, said the coach.

Despite two goals and an assist in the Super Cup, Robert Lewandowski remains at the center of the market rumors, yet Nagelsmann calls it normal for a footballer of his caliber and reveals that the Pole is totally focused on Bayern.

“Lewa is absolutely one of the best finalists in circulation and we are lucky to have him in the team. In a market period, it is normal to talk about him and players like him, but I see him totally focused. He does not stay as a “lonely island”, but works, talks and is involved in everything within the team. A player who wants to leave can never be so focused and committed,” said Nagelsmann.
