Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has called on his team-mates to prove their worth against Atalanta tonight in the Champions League, saying there are no more excuses.

United host Atalanta at Old Trafford tonight at 21:00, in a group match in the most prestigious European club competition.

The Red Devils come from a 4: 2 loss against Leicester City in the Premier League, while Atalanta from a deep 4: 1 victory against Empoli in Serie A.

Ronaldo chose the social network Instagram to send a message to his teammates before today’s match.

“Our time is coming! We have to prove who we are and the Champions League is the perfect race to prove ourselves to the world. There are no excuses! “Strength”, wrote Ronaldo.

Ronaldo had scored six goals against Atalanta during his time at Juventus.

United have a loss and a win in the first two games in Group F and are ranked third.
