Lyoni has confirmed that he has transferred Jerome Boateng as a free agent.
The French team took over the services of the German defender without paying a single cent, due to the fact that his contract with Bayern Munich expired on July 1.
Through an announcement on social networks, Lyon announced that Boateng has signed a contract until 2023.
“Olympique Lyonnais is very happy to announce the arrival of German international defender Jérôme Boateng. “Out of contract since July 1 after ten years with Bayern Munich, the 2014 World Cup winner and two-time Champions League winner has signed for OL for the next two seasons – until June 30, 2023.”
“Born on September 3, 1988 in Berlin, Jérôme Boateng has had an impressive career to date, with nearly 600 top-level games and many trophies for him. After making his debut in 2007 at Hertha Berlin, his childhood club, the center-back moved to Hamburg where he would become one of the centers of the German team, making 113 appearances over three seasons.” Lyonit.
Boateng told the club website that it is an honor for him to play for one of the biggest clubs in France.
