Barcelona and Pedri have reached an agreement to extend the 18-year-old until 2026, the Catalan club announces.

Pedri has extended his contract with Barcelona for another five years, which will keep him at the Camp Nou until the summer of 2026.

The 18-year-old will have a dizzying release clause, 1 billion euros.

“FC Barcelona and footballer Pedro Gonzalez Pedro have reached an agreement to renew their contract until June 30, 2026. The clause of his release from the contracts is worth 1 billion euros”, it is said in the announcement of Barcelona.

The Spain international is one of the best young players in the world and he is seen as the future of the Catalan club and the Spanish national team.

Barcelona has made sure the 18-year-old does not slip out of their hands, armoring him for the next five years.

He is on the shortlist of 30 players for the 2021 Golden Ball.

Pedri was the player who made the most appearances for Barcelona in all competitions, a total of 52.
