Pioli publishes the list of invited players, Milan with seven absences against Venice

Milan coach Stefano Pioli has named his 21-man squad for today’s (Wednesday) match against Venezia and seven Rossoneri players are out due to injuries.

Names such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Olivier Giroud, Davide Calabria, Rade Krunic, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Junior Messias and Simon Kjaer are still in the infirmary, so they will miss today’s match against Venice at the San Siro.

Kjaer suffered an injury during the match against Juventus over the weekend, joining six other team-mates off the field.

Ibrahimovic is facing an injury in the Achilles tendon, while Giroud has back pain.

The Swede could recover in time for Milan’s Champions League match against Atletico Madrid on September 28, while the recovery time for Giroud is still unknown.

Franck Kessie and Fikayo Tomori are available for today ‘s game, but they are expected to start from the bench with Matteo Gabbia and Ismael Bennacer expected to appear in the Rossoneri’ s starting lineup.

Defenders: Ballo-Toure, Conti, Florenzi, Gabbia, Hernandez, Kalulu, Romagnoli, Tomori.

Midfielders: Bennacer, Castillejo, Díaz, Kessie, Saelemaekers, Tonali.
