Atletico Madrid has scored a clean victory over Barcelona with a score of 2: 0 in the derby match of the eighth week in La Liga.

Thomas Lemar and Luis Suarez scored the winning goals for the locals.

After the match, Gerard Pique said they could play another three hours without scoring a goal.

“We coukd have played 3 hours without scoring a goal. There are some problems, people are not blind, they know what we lack. These are difficult times we have not experienced before,” said Pique.

With this victory, Atletico Madrid goes to the quota of 17 points in second place, as much as Real Madrid has, but with one game less played.

Barcelona, on the other hand, drops to ninth place with 12 points in total.
