Barcelona president Joan Laporta has vowed to make big changes to the club after the end of the 2020/21 season.
The failure in La Liga and the Champions League for the second year in a row has caused the pressure on coach Ronald Koeman to increase significantly in recent weeks, so the Dutchman could be fired no further than next week.
President Laporta also spoke about the changes and how things went on Tuesday night.
“I have said that I will evaluate the season as soon as it ends based on the results and appearances.” said Laporta.
“We won the Copa del Rey and we are proud of that, but we dropped out of the Champions League early and lost La Liga understandably. You will see that I will make many decisions, starting next week. When I say this is the end of a cycle, I say it because I think it is necessary.” he added.
Laporta will meet Koeman after the last game of the season on Saturday and then will start the changes he wants to make at the club before the 2021/22 season.
