Raiola demanded a lot of money for Haaland

Chelsea were interested in the Norwegian striker, but the demands of the Italian manager for Haaland and for himself were high

Erling Haaland was Chelsea’s main target this summer.

But the “Blues” encountered difficulties to transfer the Borussia Dortmund striker.

And, in the end, they brought back Romelu Lukaku, whom they bought from Inter.

Behind the failure of Haaland’s transfer to Stamford Bridge lies his manager, Mino Raiola.

The Italian manager had in fact demanded an annual salary of 50 million euros for his client.

The news was announced by the German media “Bild”.

Raiola had also asked for 40 million euros as the player’s manager.

However, Chelsea had surrendered prematurely and had not made the offer at all to Borussia Dortmund.

Real Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City had also shown interest in Haaland.
