The departure of the Ramos-Varane duo this summer, has left a gap in the background of Real Madrid, which the Austrian David Alaba can not fill alone, so the leaders of the Spanish club are looking for a center-back.
According to Spanish media, the names that are being followed with interest by Florentino Perez and other Real executives, are the two Germans Mathias Ginter and Antonio Rudiger, who play for Borussia Monchengladbach and Chelsea, respectively, and both have refused to renew their contract, which expires at the end of the season.
For this reason, Real’s management has priority for these players, as they can take them with zero parameters and invest the money they have in the coffers to be reinforced in other departments.
However coach Ancelotti has prioritized PSG’s Brazilian Marquinhos and Inter’s Slovakian Milan Skriniar, who has improved significantly in the last two seasons and is showing he is ready to play at the highest levels of European football.
The problem for these two players remains the fact that they have long-term contracts with the respective clubs and it is estimated around 60-70 million euros by the latter, figures that can hardly be paid by Perez, who prefers to invest mainly in the attacking department.
