Ribery will stay in Italy – Verona this week provides his services

Hellas Verona is reportedly in talks with Franc Ribery and the final decision is expected to be made this weekend.

The French winger left Fiorentina where he played in the 2020/21 season and is now expected to reach a new deal with a new club, as the veteran does not want to retire and has offered himself to several clubs in Italy.

Calciomercato.com reports that the former Bayern Munich star has offered himself to Milan and Sampdoria, which have rejected him.

Lazio was the third club given the opportunity to transfer Ribery, as they suffered to reach an agreement with Kostic, but Maurizio Sarri managed to transfer Zaccagni from Verona.

Hellas Verona is still in the race for Ribery and the player can join them very soon.

The parties are in talks for a possible deal and Italian media have said the answer could be learned this weekend.

Ribery, who turns 38 this year, spent two seasons at Artemio Franchi but did not make many appearances due to injury, playing in 51 games and scoring just five goals for Fiorentina.
