Cristiano Ronaldo has said he returned to where he belongs, at Manchester United, and dedicated the return to his former coach Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United from Juventus for 23 million euros.
The Portuguese superstar signed a two-year contract with Manchester United, with the possibility of extension for another year.
In a post on social media following the announcement of the deal for his transfer to United, the Portuguese superstar said that returning to Old Trafford is like a dream come true for him.
“Everyone who knows me knows that my love for Manchester United is endless. I can not even begin to describe the feelings now that I am seeing the worldwide announcement of my return to Old Trafford. It is a dream come true,” Ronaldo wrote.
“The first league title, the first cup, the first invitation to the Portuguese national team, the first Champions League trophy, my first Golden Shoe and my first Golden Ball were all born out of this special connection between me and the red devils. History was written in the past and will be written once again! I give you my word,” he stressed.
Ronaldo played under Sir Alex Ferguson in his first season at United and dedicated the return to the club to the former coach.
Ronaldo added: “I am here! I’m back to where I belong! Let’s do it again! Sir Alex, this is for you… ”
The 36-year-old was part of United for six years, from 2003 to 2009, scoring 118 goals in 292 games.
