The value of Coca Cola fell by about four billion dollars after Cristiano Ronaldo removed two bottles at his press conference on Monday.
The Portuguese star is known to be a person who tries to live healthy and is not a fan of fizzy drinks like Coca Cola.
Arriving at the press conference before Portugal’s Euro 2020 opening match against Hungary, the striker sat down and then pushed two bottles of Coca Cola to one side. He then raised a bottle of water.
The message was clear and went viral on social media, as it has had an impact on the financial world as well.
Shares of Coca Cola fell from $56.10 to $55.22 almost immediately after Ronaldo’s gesture, which means the value of the venture fell from $242 billion to $238 billion.
