Wayne Rooney does not believe that Cristiano Ronaldo will write his name on the “traitors” and wear the Manchester City jersey, as he has previously played and excelled with Manchester United.
The current Derby County coach has spoken and is confident the Portuguese is not making any moves for financial reasons.
“I have my doubts. Cristiano has left a great legacy to United. I do not think he will be transferred to Manchester City. He goes nowhere for financial reasons. He has more chances to go to PSG if he leaves Juventus. Certainly in football you do not know what will happen, because in the past Peter Shmeichel went to City, as did Andrew Cole and Mark Hughes, their former coach,” said Rooney, among others.
