Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah is the best player in the world right now, even better than the famous Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo duo, says former Premier League star Chris Sutton.
Salah’s stunning goal in Liverpool’s draw with Manchester City on Sunday has been described as one of the best goals in the Premier League era by former England striker Alan Shearer.
The Egyptian striker has scored nine goals in nine games this season.
“Right now, he is better than (Lionel) Messi and (Cristiano) Ronaldo,” said Sutton.
After scoring his 100th Premier League goal in September, Salah scored one of his best goals against Pep Guardiola’s team at the weekend.
He also prepared Sadio Mane’s opening goal in that match, in which Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne scored once to secure a draw for City.
“His statistics in recent seasons are extraordinary. “The fact that he is doing this in such a strong league shows how great he is,” added the former Blackburn Rovers striker.
