Scored two goals against Hungary, but Ronaldo also missed an absolutely incredible chance

Cristiano Ronaldo missed an ideal opportunity to score during the first half against Hungary in Portugal’s first match in Group F of Euro 2020 on Tuesday night.

Portugal’s all-time record captain and goal scorer was given a golden opportunity just before the end of the first half when Bruno Fernandes provided a brilliant assist.

Ronaldo was only five meters away from the gate and everyone was waiting for him to score and unlock the match.

However, his shot left a lot to be desired and it was disastrous going too far on the crossbar of goalkeeper Peter Guilasci.

This was a great chance for the 36-year-old striker, who himself grabbed his head with his hands in disbelief for his absence.

But Ronaldo managed to forget this lost opportunity at the end of the match, after scoring two goals, one from the penalty spot and the other from the open game for Portugal’s 3-0 victory.

With these goals, Ronaldo increased to 106 the number of goals with Portugal from 175 games played and became the best goal scorer of all time in the European Championships.
