The Brazilian defender, who left as a retiree from Paris Saint-Germain, has regained his good form in England.
Chelsea are expected to formalize the signing of a new contract with experienced defender, Thiago Silva.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the 36-year-old, who joined the London Blues as a new transfer from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, has agreed a new contract with improved terms and formalization is expected soon.
“Thiago Silva’s new contract until June 2022, which will be announced soon – an agreement has been reached and will be completed within a week. “Chelsea are also looking at the transfer of a defender this summer, they are looking at the best opportunities in the market,” Romano wrote.
So, despite the fact that they have signed a contract with Silva, this does not mean that Chelsea will not be strengthened in defense even with a new defender.
