Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stated that Manchester United need to strengthen in the summer market in order to fight for trophies in the 2021/22 season.
United managed to finish second in the Premier League and reach the Europa League final, but to take one more step towards trophies, Solskjaer says some purchases need to be made, although he knows it will be difficult because of the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.
“We are the second best, but far behind compared to those who won. We need to get stronger,” Solskjaer said.
“Of course, something will happen in the summer market. The world is different in the last 15-16 months, but we have to make some moves in the transition period to change the team.”
“I will never sit down and say ‘this is the team I love’ because you always see some other players on other teams doing something different that you love.”
