The Spaniards had two draws and they needed the victory tonight.
And, they achieved this through the dominance they had over the Slovaks, against whom they scored five times.
Goalkeeper Martin Dubravka received Alvaro Moratas’ penalty in the 12th minute of the match.
But, the Slovak goalkeeper then was the tragic face of the match. He scored an incredible own goal in the 30th minute.
In fact, Pablo Sarabia shot the crossbar and then, the goalkeeper trying to get the ball over the gate, put it into the net.
The Spaniards found the second goal in the extra minutes of the first half through center-back Aymeric Laporte, who scored with a header.
Luis Enrique’s team scored the third goal through Sarabia in the 56th minute after Alba assisted.
The Spaniards did not stop there.
They also scored the fourth goal through Ferran Torres, in the 67th minute.
Whereas, Juraj Kucka scored an own goal in the 71st minute.
Spain closed the group stage in second place with 5 points.
On the other hand, the Slovaks with this loss remain unqualified. They closed the group stage in third place with three points.
