The hottest match of Euro 2020 has just ended. Spain has managed to qualify for the quarterfinals of the European Championship after beating Croatia 3: 5 in overtime.
It was the 20th minute when from a ball turned back by Pedri, goalkeeper Unai Simon did not accept well and the ball slowly entered the gate passing Croatia in the lead. In the 38th minute Sarabia managed to equalize the score, sending the match to the break between parts with a draw.
The second half started with the advantage of Spain. It was Azpilicueta who scored in the 57th minute of the match, while 20 minutes later Ferran Torres doubled the lead and everyone thought Spain finished the job.
But Croatia did not think so. The Croatians initially managed to get back in the game with Orsic’s goal in the 85th minute of the match, and seven minutes later Pasalic equalized the score and sent the match into extra time.
But that was the strength of the Croats. Spain managed to score in the 100th minute of the match for 3: 4 through Morata, while three minutes later Oyarzabal sealed the match.
In the quarterfinals, Spain will face the winner of the match France – Switzerland.
