Erik ten Hag insists Cristiano Ronaldo could have a role on his Manchester United team next season.
Ten Hag was introduced by the “Red Devils” at a press conference in Old Trafford on Monday afternoon and Ronaldo’s future was definitely a topic of discussion.
The 37-year-old scored 24 goals in his first season in England after returning and Ten Hag briefly clarified that Ronaldo could be an asset for United under his leadership.
“Of course,” said Ten Hag. When asked what Ronaldo could bring, Ten Hag added: “Goals”. It was then suggested that Ronaldo could take on more of a leadership role in the final year of his contract. I talk to Ronaldo first before I talk to you,” Ten Hague replied.
At a 20-minute press conference, Ten Hag gave some of his plans for the United team next season and stressed that he would draw conclusions from his analysis.
