Josip Stanisic chooses Croatia. The talented Bayern Munich defender has been in a dilemma to decide between the German and Croatian representatives, but has officially decided in favor of the latter.

The news was announced by the footballer himself, who after meeting the coach of Croatia, Zlatko Dalic, decided to respond positively to the invitation for the next two eliminatory matches of the World Cup, against Cyprus and Slovakia.

“My family comes from Slavonski Brod, a city in eastern Croatia and it is a dream for me to represent my country of origin. The Croatian Football Federation and coach Dalic have been looking for me persistently, offering me a very good perspective, so I said yes and I look forward to contributing on the field as soon as possible,” said the 21-year-old defender.

Josip Stanisic has grown up in the age groups of Bayern Munich and made his debut with the first team last season, while this year he started quite well, as under the leadership of Julian Nagelsmann he came down to the field in a full 7 matches.
