Belgium selector Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Eden Hazard and Kevin de Bruyne have no serious injuries, but will not be fully recovered for Friday’s game against Italy.
The quarterfinal challenge within ‘Euro 2020’ takes place in Munich, but both players suffered injuries in the duel against Portugal.
Medical examinations have shown that the Real Madrid star has suffered a muscle injury, while that of Manchester City has suffered a joint sprain.
“Eden and Kevin have no structural injuries, so they will stay with the team,” Martinez told a news conference, explaining that the injuries were not serious.
“We will not be able to fully recover them for Friday, but they will be ready for the next stage in this competition. “We have to wait day after day and see what happens.”
“Right now it is 50-50 and the time is not on our side to prepare them for the next challenge”, added the coach.
