According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter prefer Marcos Alonso over Emerson Palmier and may seek to include him in a swap deal for Achraf Hakimi.
The Moroccan international appears to be on the verge of leaving the Stadio Meazza with PSG and The Blues interested in securing his services.
The Nerazzurri need to sell one of their stars to maintain a positive financial balance and the asking price for the former Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund winger is 80 million euros.
Both Chelsea and PSG are believed to have made an offer of around 60 million, which is still not enough for the Nerazzurri.
According to some reports, Inter are not ready to sell Hakimi in a swap deal, player, plus money, but Il Corriere dello Sport suggests that the Nerazzurri directors may change their minds if Chelsea offer Marcos Alonso.
The former Fiorentina member is reported to be Inter’s preferred left-back option, even instead of Emerson Palmier.
It is still unclear whether Chelsea would be open to including the Spanish left-back in the Hakimi deal, but they are certainly available to do so with players such as Tammy Abraham, Mateo Kovacic and Davide Zappacosta.
