England stars Harry Kane and Jadon Sancho have managed to be part of the most expensive formation in Euro 2020.
The Three Lions started the European Championship for the first time in history with a victory.
Raheem Sterling’s goal in the second half ensured that Gareth Southgate’s team could beat an experienced team like Croatia 1-0.
Sancho was left out of the squad for that meeting, with fans having reason to be angry.
And this seems even more strange when you consider that the Borussia Dortmund star is in the most valuable team of players participating in Euro 2020, based on Transfermarkt estimates.
Sancho – a Manchester United target – currently has a sensational value of 100 million.
With the Englishman included in the team, the value has gone to 1.04 billion euros.
On the opposite wing, France star Kylian Mbappe is the most expensive star, valued at 159 million.
The rest of the midfield consists of Belgian star Kevin de Bruyne (100 million), Joshua Kimmich, Frenkie de Jong (both 89 million).
De Bruyne’s teammate in Belgium, Thibaut Courtois (60 million) is in gate in front of a three-player defense.
Portugal star Ruben Dias and Matthijs de Ligt of the Netherlands (both 74 million euros) have joined French star Raphael Varane (69 million).
England captain Kane (119 million) is joined by Romelu Lukaku (100 million).
Bruno Fernandes, valued at 94 million, has lost the race with De Bruyne, while Ronaldo’s value has dropped to 47 million given his age.
