The German Football Association (DFB) is in talks with outgoing Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick.
Bayern have already announced the departure of Flick in the summer and his replacement with current RB Leipzig coach Julian Nageslmann.
Now the DFB has said they are in talks with Flick to take over the leadership of the national team from Joachim Low after the Euro 2020 European Championship.
Low has been at the helm of the German national team for more than 15 years, helping the team win the 2014 World Cup.
“It is well known that Hansi Flick is highly regarded by the DFB. We can confirm that, against this background, we will now hold talks with him and those in charge at FC Bayern.”
“We will not currently comment on the further procedure, which we will initially coordinate with all parties involved with due care and calm,” the DFB said in a statement.
