Robert Lewandowski will definitely stay at Bayern Munich for at least another two years, according to club president Berber Hainer, who has insisted the Polish striker wanted by Chelsea is not for sale.
Lewandowski has been widely rumored to be joining Chelsea this summer, as he is a big wish of Blues coach Thomas Tuchel for the new 2022/22 season.
Chelsea have followed his situation at Bayern and asked for information about him in recent weeks, but Hainer has no fear he could lose his precious asset before his deal with Bayern expires in 2023.
Asked about Chelsea’s interest in the Pole, the Bayern boss said: “First of all, in my opinion, Lewandowski is the best striker in the world. We are very happy to have him on the team.”
“He has another two years in his contract with us. He will definitely play at Bayern during those years. I already said weeks ago I can imagine him at Bayern even longer. He will honor the agreement,” he said.
He added: “He will definitely play here in Bayern Munich for the next two years.”
