Milan will reward French left-back Theo Hernandez with a big salary increase with the new contract offered by the club.
The 24-year-old Frenchman is one of the key players in Stefano Pioli’s squad and he wants to keep the promise he made to Paolo Maldini that he wants to be a historic figure for the Red and Blacks.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan will offer Hernandez a new contract that will increase his salary from 1.5 million euros to four million, which could increase to 5 million if he reaches the bonuses. The club is still deciding whether the new contract will run until 2026 or 2027.
The Red and Blacks hope to draft all the relevant details by the end of the month and are ready to reward the Frenchman for his credibility with the club and his quality. They also appreciate the fact that he had no demands for a quick pay rise and instead acted calmly realizing the club’s economic difficulties.
Hernandez has had 22 appearances in all competitions this season, playing a total of 1813 minutes, he has also scored four goals and made five assists.
