Manchester United and Mauricio Pochettino are maintaining “secret and discreet” contacts, the media in France report today.
Pochettino is in competition with Paris Saint-Germain to win the Ligue 1 title but also the Champions League, which he aims to achieve with an attacking trio consisting of Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
He is key to being a permanent manager at Manchester United, with manager Ralf Rannick taking over until the end of the 2021/22 season.
Le Perisien reported today that the Red Devils had also expressed interest in Pochettino in November, when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was fired. United continues to “have this contact” with the Argentine coach, who is wanted by most of the fans of this team.
It has previously been reported that United are aiming for three coaches for the new season and they are: Pochettino, Ajax coach Erik ten Hag and Leicester coach Brendan Rodgers.
Le Parisien writes that at the moment they are fighting to bring Pochettino and Ten Hag to the bench.
