Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has reportedly agreed a five-year contract with Manchester United.
Varane has been linked for some time now with the English club, while it is already said that the agreement has been reached.
According to Goal.com, the Real Madrid star will sign a contract with United valid until 2026.
But United have not yet made an official offer for the Real Madrid center-back, with Varane’s contract ending next summer.
With Varane seeking a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, the royal club will be forced to make money this summer.
That is why the Red Devils think they have the advantage in the negotiations and are happy to take their time in the hope that Real will reduce the demands before the transfer window closes.
Given his respect for Los Blancos, whom he joined as a teenager in 2011, Varane will not submit a transfer request.
The 28-year-old will significantly increase his salary at Old Trafford, having earned a salary of six million euros with Real in previous years.
