Barcelona coach Xavi has been reluctant to talk about Erling Haaland’s possible move to the Camp Nou in the summer, although he acknowledged the club is in the market for a striker.
Rumors of the transfer of the Borussia Dortmund striker to Barca took off this week, after his manager Mino Raiola was seen talking to Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
Moreover, Raiola openly said that Barcelona is one of the few clubs where Haaland can be transferred at the end of this season.
At a press conference on Tuesday after Barcelona lost to Boca Juniors in a friendly match in honor of Diego Maradona, Xavi did not escape questions about Haaland.
“Everything is hypothetical,” Xavi said when asked if Barca would buy Haaland in the summer.
“It is true that we need to strengthen, but we will see what happens,” he added.
Haaland will leave Dortmund in the summer and according to Raiolas the Norwegian striker will go to one of these clubs, Real Madrid, Barcelona, ??Bayern Munich or Manchester City
