Granit Xhaka has been declared the best player of the France-Switzerland match.

Xhaka has been the creator of midfield tonight for Switzerland in more than 120 minutes of play, a match which Switzerland won on penalties.

Xhaka also assisted in Switzerland’s third goal for Mario Gavranovic, a goal which led to extra time twice in the 15 minutes of the match.

Following this commitment, UEFA has announced Xhaka as the player of the match.

Switzerland has advanced to the quarterfinals where it will face another European giant, the Spanish National Team.
