One of the fiercest rivalries in English football is that between London teams Chelsea and Arsenal and if anyone knows one or two things about the animosity between the teams, it is the former Blues striker and club legend Didier Drogba.
Despite being great rivals, The Blues and The Gunners have transferred several players throughout their history – recently, some of these names have included defensive duo David Luiz and Ashley Cole, goalkeeper Petr Cech, midfielder Cesc Fabregas, striker Olivier Giroud and winger Willian.
Surely the vast majority of those transferred players have either continued to enjoy or fail to display their qualities.
Didier Drogba scored 164 goals in 381 games for Chelsea and his favorite team to realize his goal on the field was precisely Arsenal.
After the departure of Willian, who has returned to his native Brazil, after a short adventure in the Emirates, with Drogba now teasing the Gunners through social media.
The retired striker, whose name is still sung out loud at Stamford Bridge, shared an image of Willian with the trophy: “Thank you, Agent Willian, your mission is over, as are those of David Luiz and Petr Cech.”
Of course, this post was not to the liking of Arsenal fans, given that Chelsea have already achieved a clear advantage in winning trophies.
I’ll always hope that CFC players who gave us joy come back to play or work for @ChelseaFC but my previous tweet was a banter between us.
Obrigado e boa sorte ao #Corinthians
