Zinedine Zidane left Real Madrid, and is considered by many to be the most successful coach in the entire history of the club.
Only Miguel Munoz won more trophies (14), as Zidane closed out with 11 trophies won, but the Frenchman had 342 fewer games as coach.
Munoz had led Real Madrid in 605 games, while the Frenchman was in the lead in 263 games, in two stages.
It’s because Zidane has won a trophy every 23 games for Real Madrid, giving him the best average of any coach in the club’s history.
The former midfielder leaves after winning 174, drawing at 53, while losing 36 games out of 263 at the top, with a winning percentage of 66 percent.
Even this season, Real Madrid went 18 games without a loss in La Liga.
Three-time European champion
Zidane will always be remembered for the three consecutive Champions League trophies he won during his tenure as coach.
He also closed two successful La Liga campaigns.
Of his four seasons as Real Madrid coach, Zidane either won the championship title or was in the race until his final day in La Liga.
