Kurt Zouma leaves Chelsea, but remains in London. The 26-year-old Frenchman transferred to the West Ham team for a total figure of 30 million euros and signed a 5-year contract with the “hammers”.
Zouma joined Chelsea in the summer of 2014 as one of the most promising defenders, but failed to leave a mark at the “blues” of London and spent a good part of his time on loan at other teams such as Saint Ettiene, Stoke City or Everton.
However now the paths between him and the European champions are finally parted, as the sale of Zouma paves the way for Chelsea to complete the transfer of another French defender.
It is about 22-year-old of Sevilla, Jules Kounde, who has been followed for weeks by the Londoners and the transfer is expected to be completed at the beginning of the week, for a figure of around 50 million euros in total, although the clause of termination of his contract with the Andalusians is 80 million euros.
The 22-year-old Frenchman himself has accepted the transfer to London, where he expects an important role in the center of the background department and there is also an agreement between Chelsea and Sevilla, but everything has been suspended, as the Andalusians have not found yet the man who will replace Kounde in the center of defense.
