Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has tried to lure Lionel Messi to join his squad, saying all the big players want to play for the Parisian club.
Messi is expected to sign a new contract with Barcelona this summer, to put an end to rumors about his future, but Al-Khelaifi does not seem to have given up.
The Argentine striker made a formal request to leave Barcelona last summer and has not yet extended his contract, which expires this month.
As a result, he is free to negotiate with other clubs to leave the Camp Nou without a penny.
“All I can say is that all the big players want to come to PSG,” Al-Khelaifi told L’Equipe.
“It is not impossible to buy them all, because we already have great players in the team. Having said that, Messi is Messi, the fantastic player. “I told the president of Barcelona Joan Laporta and his contract (Messi) will expire and every club has the right to talk to bring him closer for free for the new season,” he added.
