Neymar has insisted he does not care for individual trophies for a long time, including the main one: the Golden Ball, adding that his only focus is winning team trophies with Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG will face Manchester City tonight in the first semi-final of the Champions League and Neymar remains committed to reaching the second consecutive final with the French giants.
Although there have been persistent suggestions that Neymar’s main motivation is to win the Golden Ball, the Brazilian striker rejects these suggestions.
Neymar, who is on the verge of extending his contract with PSG, said: “I am very happy with the season I am spending at PSG. I don’t care for the Golden Ball, it is something I do not think about.”
“I have not thought about it for a long time. It doesn’t really matter to me. I want to win the Champions League, because it makes the difference in my life and career,” he added.
